How a Prong Collar Works
A prong collar, also commonly called a pinch collar, is a training and leash-management tool made with multiple links positioned around the dog's neck.
Rather than concentrating leash pressure at a single point, the collar uses multiple contact points around the neck. As with any dog-training equipment, proper sizing, positioning and handling are important.
A prong collar should be viewed as a training aid rather than a replacement for training. The handler should still teach and reinforce the behaviors they want from the dog.

How to Use the Slip & Clip Prong Collar
- Choose the correct size. Adjust the collar by adding or removing compatible links as necessary for your dog.
- Open the Slip & Clip collar. Allow enough room for the collar to pass comfortably over your dog's head.
- Slip the collar over your dog's head. Position the collar appropriately on the neck before attaching the leash.

The 3.25mm Slip & Clip may be appropriate for many medium and large dogs, depending on neck size, coat, training needs and the handler's preference.
Breeds commonly trained with appropriately sized prong collars include German Shepherds, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, Belgian Malinois, German Shorthaired Pointers, Cane Corsos, Great Danes, Huskies, Mastiffs, Golden Retrievers and other medium-to-large breeds.
Breed alone should not determine collar size. Always select and adjust the collar based on the individual dog's measurements and fit.
